Join us for this special opportunity to view PAIRINGS: DRAWINGS FROM THE JACK SHEAR COLLECTION. The installation will take place across multiple galleries within the Ellsworth Kelly Studio in Spencertown, New York.
The Jack Shear Collection includes over 1800 drawings from the 15th-21st centuries. Jack Shear is an artist and collector who lives and works in Columbia County, New York. His drawings collection has been the subject of multiple exhibitions including, Drawn: From the Collection of Jack Shear, Blanton Museum of Art, Austin, TX, 2021; Ways of Seeing, Three Takes on the Jack Shear Drawing Collection, The Drawing Center, New York, 2021-2022; and Infinity on Paper: Drawings from the Collections of the Benton Museum of Art and Jack Shear, Benton Museum of Art, Pomona College, 2024. Shear’s collection was also the focus of the 2023 AllPaper Seminar at the Benton Museum of Art, Pomona College.
