The exhibition Odilon Redon: Otherworldly Visions highlights Getty’s collection of the artist’s moody charcoal drawings and vibrant pastels. By focusing on Redon’s materials and techniques, it builds upon important research on 19th-century drawing media developed over the past decade by Getty paper conservators, conservation scientists, and curators.

Curator Danielle Canter and conservator Michelle Sullivan to share new insights on Redon’s complex artistic methods and their surprising discoveries, from hidden skeletons to vanishing colors. They delve into Redon’s significant drawing practice, illuminating the collaborative research and technical study that informed the exhibition.  Following the presentation, the speakers sit down for a conversation and Q&A moderated by Allison Wucher, Executive Director and Co-Founder of The Drawing Foundation.
